Mohs Micrographic Surgery
Mohs micrographic surgery is the gold standard for treating many basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers, particularly in cosmetically and functionally sensitive areas such as the face. This technique allows for the precise removal of cancerous tissue while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. Each layer of tissue is examined under a microscope in real time, ensuring the highest cure rates and the smallest possible surgical footprint.
Excisional Surgery
Excisional surgery is a common and effective method for removing skin cancers, cysts, lipomas, and other growths. The lesion is surgically removed along with a margin of healthy tissue, then closed carefully to promote optimal healing and cosmetic results. This approach is often recommended when lesions are well-defined and located in areas where traditional excision is appropriate.
Superficial Radiation Therapy
Superficial radiation therapy using the SRT-100™ system is a non-surgical option for treating select non-melanoma skin cancers, including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, by delivering a precisely calibrated dose of low-energy radiation directly to the affected area while sparing surrounding healthy tissue. The treatment is virtually painless, requires no anesthesia, and involves no cutting or stitching, with sessions performed on an outpatient basis and no downtime afterward, making it particularly well suited for cosmetically sensitive areas such as the face, ears, and nose or for patients who are not ideal surgical candidates.
Electrodesiccation & Curettage
Electrodesiccation and curettage (ED&C) is a minimally invasive technique used to treat select superficial skin cancers and benign lesions. The abnormal tissue is gently scraped away and then treated with controlled electrical energy to destroy remaining cells and reduce recurrence. ED&C is performed quickly in the office and is often well suited for lesions on the trunk and extremities.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy uses liquid nitrogen to freeze and destroy abnormal or unwanted skin lesions. It is commonly used to treat actinic keratoses, warts, seborrheic keratoses, and other benign growths. The procedure is fast, requires no anesthesia, and is an effective way to address precancerous changes before they progress.
“Staff are always so polite and friendly. And the Skyrizi injections have been painless and 100% effective in clearing up what was severe psoriasis. Once again, thank you for a pleasant experience with this annual review.”
Incision & Drainage
Incision and drainage is performed to relieve painful or infected lesions such as abscesses or inflamed cysts. By safely releasing built-up fluid or infection, this procedure helps reduce discomfort and promotes healing. When appropriate, additional treatment may be recommended to prevent recurrence
Intralesional Injection
Intralesional injections deliver medication directly into a lesion to reduce inflammation or promote healing. This technique is frequently used for conditions such as cystic acne, keloid scars, psoriasis plaques, and certain inflammatory skin disorders. Targeted delivery allows for effective treatment while minimizing systemic side effects.
Psoriasis & Vitiligo Treatment
Chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and vitiligo often require targeted, long-term management rather than one-size-fits-all care. We offer individualized treatment plans that may include topical therapies, injections, and advanced light-based treatments such as the XTRAC® excimer laser. This focused ultraviolet light therapy delivers precise energy to affected areas while sparing healthy skin, making it an effective option for stubborn plaques, localized eczema, and areas of pigment loss associated with vitiligo. Treatment plans are customized based on disease severity, skin type, and patient goals to help control symptoms, reduce flare-ups, and improve overall skin health.
Actinic Keratoses & Precancer Treatment
Actinic keratoses are precancerous lesions caused by long-term sun exposure. Blue‑U ALA therapy combines a photosensitizing agent with targeted blue light to destroy abnormal cells while preserving healthy skin. This approach treats both visible lesions and subclinical damage, helping reduce future skin cancer risk.
AviClear® Acne Treatment
AviClear® is an advanced laser treatment designed to address acne at its source by targeting overactive sebaceous glands. This FDA-cleared technology provides a drug-free option for patients with mild to severe acne and can significantly reduce breakouts without the need for long-term medications.
Prescription Therapy
When appropriate, prescription medications play an important role in dermatologic care. We offer evidence-based topical and oral therapies to treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and other skin conditions, always tailoring treatment to each patient’s needs and medical history.
